Program Summary
The purpose of Herds for Economic Resiliency (HERds) is to establish a livestock loaning program and fodder bank and to train women in animal husbandry best practices.

Why We Love This Project
We love this project because it provides an asset for participants’ wealth and individual economic reserves, as well as training and a support system. It supports the nutrition of children and provides mothers with the means to purchase food, clothes, medicines and pay for their daughters’ school materials.
