I'm not sure I can adequately express how amazing this
year's [2009] Leadership Summit was for me personally. I got the opportunity to
meet, learn about and grow with chapter leaders and members from all over the
country. We bonded instantly because we shared a common core value, our
heart-felt connection with DFW.

The speakers and sessions were powerful, moving and pushed me in all areas of
personal development. While I can get bogged down with day-to-day
stuff....work, commitments, and all that I take on, I had an opportunity to
explore and renew what motivates me and brings me joy. The sessions were
formatted in a workshop style so there was a lot of time for self exploration.
I came away with tools that I can use everyday to center myself. It has made a
lasting impact. I feel renewed, recharged, revitalized and it was just plain
old belly-laugh FUN!!

DFW empowers women in the developing world to
become self-reliant, but we also empower ourselves to take a stand, make a difference
and together, change the world.

The 2009 DFW Leadership
Summit in Chicago was such an inspiration for me. I got to bond with Marsha and
many other women from all over the U.S. that are part of this great
organization. We discussed many topics as chapter leaders and members. We had
some phenomenal guest speakers. We brainstormed fundraising ideas, leadership
roles, growth potential and more. To become more involved and interested in
what is happening with Dining for Women, makes it even more powerful and
exciting to be part of it. I’ll see you at the next Leadership Summit in 2010
in Atlanta!

Attending the DFW
conference opened our eyes to the women of the world who need our
help.  Meeting representatives from the charities that we have helped made
it even more personal for us.  It was wonderful to meet other women
from across the country who are as passionate as we are about Dining for
Women.

that come from being part of a community committed to working together toward a
common purpose.
